The 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships is closed and Ukraine is the Biggest Medal Winner

After 5 days competition, the 2007 world deaf swimming championships is closed on 16th. Ukraine is the biggest winner which has 12 gold medals and ranked 1st in total medal number. Tseng, Chinese Taipei, has 1 gold, 1 sliver and 1 bronze and ranked 8th.

Taipei City Mayor, Hau, attended the closing ceremony and appreciated all athletes’ performance. He congratulated athletes on who set new world records. Hau also invited all athletes, coaching staffs, and family members come to Taipei for 2009 21st Summer Deaflympics in the near future.

In woman’s 4*100 relay, Russia sets a new world record in 4:04.72. Russia has 7 gold medals and ranked 2nd. Germany has 6 gold medals and ranked 3rd. Belarus has 5 gold medals and ranked 4th. Sweden ranked 5th, United States ranked 6th, and Ireland ranked 7th.

Natalchuk Volodymyr, from Ukraine, is the individual who won the most medals. He has 6 gold, 3 sliver, and 1 bronze medals, He is the biggest medal winner. All delegation will have some Taipei tours on 17th and will leave for their countries on 18th.
