Shu-Ning Tseng, Chinese Taipei, eclipsed her own world record in winning woman’s 50 backstroke on 15th. Swim to the top of the world.

Shu-Ning Tseng, 18 from Chinese Taipei, eclipsed her own world record in winning woman’s 50 backstroke of the 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships on 15th. This is the first gold medal of Chinese Taipei.

Tseng clocked 32.23 to break her own 2-year old world record. However, the game was so competitive. A. Polivanchuk won the sliver of 32.24. Though both of them break the old world record, Tseng still is the world record holder.

Tseng was in lane 4. She had a good start. Meanwhile, the Sweden twins, Polivanchuk sisters, were very competitive. The audiences could not stop yelling out and cheering for them.

Taipei City Deputy Mayor, Wu, awarded the mascot to Tseng and encouraged her keep improving her performance.

Tseng won the sliver in woman’s 100 backstroke on 13th. The Chinese Taipei now is ranked 8th of the total medal ranking.

G. Lytvnenko break her own world record in 58.05 in woman’s 100 freestyle, and won three gold medals for herself.
