Mayor Hao indicated that it is more difficult to swim with ear plugs.

When the Flashing Lights went, the Swimming Competition started with a splash at Yu Chung Senior High School. Taipei Mayor Hao, Long-Bin was in the swimming suit to show his support for 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships.

Mayor Hao believes that it is for sure to win the champion in the Swimming Championships next month. 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships, from August 11 to 16, is going to be held at National College of Physical Education and Sports. 

21^st Summer Deaflympics Organizing Committee held the Deaf Swimming Camp and the Conference for those swimmers. During the Deaf Swimming Camp, Mayor Hao indicated that it is more difficult to swim with ear plugs; however, those swimmers made it with fortitude. “I am no match for them. When they are at the finishing line while I am still working on 20 m.” said Mayor Hao.

Mayor Hao showed how to use flashing lights starters and introduced the differences between the Deaf Swimming Championships and the hearing ones. Those swimmers should be given encouragement and countenance.

Chinese Taipei Deaf Swimming Team, 9 males and 11 females are included, had the training program in Hsin Chu. Tzeng, Shu- Ning was the Gold Medalist of 50m Backstroke in 2005 Melbourne Deaflympics, and will be the first one of the whole team. The excellence of her swimming skills won the cheering form those reporters.

Mayor Hao introduced the champion Tzeng, Shu-Ning to those reporters. She will be the person who is likely to win the champion. On that time, there will be 30 countries to participate in the Championships.

Tzeng Shu Ning received the special training of 100m, including 50m. Taiwanese hope her hard work can be rewarded with success.

Sun, Hong-Piao, the coach of Deaflympics Swimming Team, indicated that those swimmers are the best, and Tzeng, Shu-Ning, Hsieh, Wan-Cheng, and Cheng, Chuan-Ni will be the ones to win the competition for Chinese Taipei.
