Mr. Yu-ping CHAO, Secretary General of Chinese Taipei Sports Association of the Deaf met the representatives for the first time in Asia Pacific Games for the Deaf in Taipei in 2000 and have kept in touch ever since.  In 2005, Mr. CHAO visited Macau to observe the preparation of the 2005 East Asian Games.  He highly praised that the 2005 East Asian Games in Macau a very successful event.  It poses a great model for TDOC to host Taipei Deaflympics.

Representatives raised many questions to TDOC during the visit, particularly about bowling.  They wished Macau Bowling Team would perform as well as Chinese Taipei Team in Melbourne Deaflympics in 2005.  Mr. CHAO provided information and suggestions to them and wish them a record-breaking achievement in the future.

There are 800 days left to 2009 Taipei Summer Deaflympics.  Participating countries are very concerned about the preparation progress.  In addition to Macau, Japan and Australia also visited for site inspection in Taipei this year.
