Recently, Taipei 2009 21^st Summer Deaflympics Organisation Committee actively prepares not only Taipei 2009 21^st Summer Deaflympics but also the coming 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships.  Japan Deaf Swimming Association takes this competition seriously.  It detached delegates to Taiwan to inspect the venues and preparation on Feb. 4^th.  The Organisation Committee received the delegates delightedly and exchanged the competition experiences with them in the meantime.       

Taipei 2009 21^st Summer Deaflympics Organisation Committee said that the 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships will be held with solemnity in National College of Physical Education and Sports Swimming Pool from Aug. 11^th to 17^th this year.  It is about six months left from now to competition dates.  Japan Deaf Swimming Association Chairman Mr. Watanabe, Vice Chairman Mr. Mukai and Counselor Mr. Toyoda had a special trip to Taiwan to inspect the related affairs and understand the preparation situation.  The Organisation Committee briefed about 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships and arranged a trip for them to inspect the venues, transportation and accommodation affairs.    

Among the countries which will take part in this competition, Japan is the only one having an inspection trip in Taiwan so far.  Thus we can see the attention and intention of Japan Deaf Swimming Association to 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships.  Mr. Mukai, the Vice President of Japan Deaf Swimming Association, is also the Backstroke athlete of Asia-Pacific Games for the Deaf .  He was defeated by Chinese athlete and just got Silver Medal at that competition.  Therefore, he doesn’t dare to ignore the strength of Chinese deaf swimming delegates.  He has prepared to do his best in the coming 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships in August.

Taipei 2009 21^st Summer Deaflympics Organisation Committee represented that Taiwan and Japan exchanged the international competition ideas and experiences via the inspection of Japan Deaf Swimming Association.  Taiwan lacked for the experiences of hosting the big-scaled competitions, so the stimulation and sharing of Japan Deaf Swimming Association enlightened the Organisation Committee staffs to improve the details of the competition.  We hope to make the 2007 World Deaf Swimming Championships perfect.
